Gite Vert is part of an old farm house called "le Vert" and is located in the Auvergne region of France, just north west of Clermont Ferrand. It is owned and run by Dr Madeline J Watson.

We are a quiet meditative establishment and provide facilities for those who wish to rest and recuperate by reading or meditating or just being quiet.

You can also enjoy country walks, spectacular views, a chance to visit a live volcano or a walk in the mountains, all from a short distance of Gite Vert.

The many cheeses and wines of the region and delicious local bread will add that touch of 'Frenchness' to your visit.

Gite Vert is also near the Dhagpo Kundreul Ling Tibetan Buddhist Monastery. This is the Monastic Hermitages and Retreat Centres of the Karma Kagyu lineage's European Seat. You can join in with the activities held at the Monastery, including meditation, pujas, Buddhist teachings and initiations.
